Masthead

The masthead is bright, bold and links in with the colour of the cloths of the person in front. This can connote a link between the contents page title and the main person which the magazine would be about. Another factor that makes the masthead attractive is the fact that it is in full caps. Connotations of full caps can be: important, required or to put an emphasis. This could mean that, through the title (and its connotations), the title puts a required, important emphasis on the title.

Colour Pallet

The colour pallet involved is compiled of colours usually found in flags (red, white and blues). This factor of the colour pallet can connote the use of patriotism. This factor can make the magazine more appealing to the countries that are more patriotic than others.

Imagery

The imagery used in the contents page is a page of two people that look like they have a fair amount of money. This is shown by the way they dress, their car and the way they are posing for the camera. This can make people think that this magazine is aimed at richer people and - through this - make the readers identify with these richer people.

Typography

The typography used is a more of modern tone to entice the modern day reader and for people who like this type of modern day text styles. The features included can entice the reader even more through the use of the words, "ELVIS: THE LAST MYSTERY". This is in full caps on the page to emphasise the importance of it and to entice the reader through the use of curiosity.

Layout

The layout is composed mainly to the left of the magazine. The use of this technique is used to emphasise the image in the middle. This can be a way of showing off the magazine from the middle but also showing off the magazine from the contents page. The image in the middle actually covers the entire page making it more prevalent over the contents of the magazine listed to the left. This is how shifting the contents list to the left can attract the target audience.
